DIFFERENT BLANKETS FOR DIFFERENT AGES

A small baby naturally has different needs than a 3 year old child. The blankets are not used in the same way depending on the age of your child. Safety is of course important when choosing a baby blanket.

• For a baby: your baby's body cannot yet control body temperature itself. That is why it is essential to keep your baby warm with a baby blanket. Make sure you purchase a small size blanket (80x100 cm) for a baby. This size is in fact large enough for a 120x60 crib to place the baby in, but not too large to drag on the floor and get dirty. A baby blanket is also handy to take with you in the pram to keep your baby nice and warm during a long walk.

• For a child from 18 months and older, a baby blanket may also be necessary to supplement the comforter. Certainly in the cold winter months. To properly cover a toddler bed, junior bed or single bed, it is best to choose a children's blanket of 100x150 cm. Does your child have a bed of 140x70? Then opt for a larger blanket.

CHOOSE A NICE, SOFT BABY BLANKET

Of course you want the very best for your little one in the baby room. The (baby) blanket must be soft and comfortable. That is why we recommend choosing a blanket made of 100% cotton that feels nice, is warm and allows good ventilation. Another fabric that is often used is fleece. Fleece also feels soft, but patterns used in the design may not maintain its quality after a few washes.

ALSO BEAUTIFUL AS A DECORATION

While a blanket is meant to keep your baby nice and warm, it can also serve as a cosy decoration for the room. You can try many different decorative placements with a blanket. To give you a bit of inspiration, here are some examples:

• You can place the blanket on your child's bed. For a nice effect, it is best to choose a contrasting color in relation to the bedding. 
• You can also put the blanket in a teepee tent! In the middle of the tent, for a cozy view.
• On a chair next to a cushion in the same kind of colors.
• You can of course also place the blanket over the corner of your couch to create a warm atmosphere in your living room.  

A PATTERNED OR A CROCHETED BABY BLANKET? THE CHOICE IS YOURS!

Knitted, crocheted, patterned, plain or detailed with pompoms. The choice for the type of blanket is entirely up to you! As a child it is of course very cool to be allowed to help with the design of the bedroom. That is why it is nice to let your child help you choose a blanket.
