The advantages of a convertible bed cot set:
A convertible bed cot set has the advantage of being larger and therefore being adapted into a toddler bed when the child reaches the age of 2 years. You switch easily and quickly from the baby crib to the toddler bed. In this way, your child can sleep until their 5th or 6th birthday in the “same” bed. For them it is an easy change as they are used to their own cot bed, but with a small adjustment. They feel a bit more grown up with the rails down and the freedom of climbing in and out on their own.
In a standard 60x120 cot that is not able to be converted, your child will be able to sleep until around two and a half years old.
Parents who are expecting their first child with the long-term desire to quickly expand the family often opt for a standard cot 120x60. After two or three years, the eldest is then ready for a “big” bed while his little brother or his little sister takes over the cot with bars. Two or three years later, the youngest can take over the transition bed (140x70) and the eldest is then ready for a larger size.
The advantage? Children always sleep better in a bed that is perfectly adapted to their size!

Future parents or young parents who do not expect to have another child after the birth of the first often choose a 70x140 cot. The child can keep his crib from birth to toddler stage without problem.
